We are thrilled to announce that Ashaki Goodwin has joined PVBLIC Foundation as the Director of Government Affairs and the United Nations Representative for the Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity (DBRP). As the first Director of Government Affairs, Ashaki’s leadership marks a pivotal moment for PVBLIC as we expand our government engagement across a wide array of programs and deepen our multilateral partnerships.

In her new role, Ashaki will lead PVBLIC’s engagement with government entities, policymakers, and regulatory agencies. As part of this, she will work to strengthen relationships with the public sector, foster impactful partnerships, and play a critical role in helping governments build capacity for resilient prosperity through innovative, strategic multilateral collaborations. She will also manage relations with the United Nations to support the launch of the Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity (DBRP).

Ashaki’s leadership will further PVBLIC’s mission to advance sustainable development initiatives on a global scale. With over 15 years of experience in international development, trade, and development banking, Ashaki brings a wealth of knowledge to this role. Her previous work includes key positions at the Caribbean Development Bank, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

As an Antiguan and Barbudan international development specialist, Ashaki has been a dedicated advocate for advancing the development agendas of developing countries and small island developing states (SIDS). Her expertise spans critical areas such as climate finance, trade facilitation, and resilience-building in vulnerable communities—skills that will be instrumental in advancing PVBLIC’s core programs like the SDG Data Alliance, technology transfer initiatives, and SIDS-focused efforts through the implementation of the ABAS ten year framework.

“I’m beyond excited to join the phenomenal team at PVBLIC Foundation! I look forward to forging powerful partnerships with governments and institutions as we collaborate to advance sustainable development and create a lasting impact that will benefit not only today but for generations to come,” Ashaki said. “Together, we will drive meaningful change for a better and more resilient future.”

Ashaki holds a Master’s degree in Integration Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with Law from the University of the West Indies (UWI). Her deep commitment to multilateralism and her dedication to building resilient economies, especially for SIDS, positions her to lead PVBLIC’s efforts as we continue to build on our long-standing government networks.

“We are excited to welcome Ashaki to the PVBLIC family and look forward to the transformative impact she’ll make as she builds the future of our Government Affairs Division, ensuring PVBLIC’s engagement with governments and multilateral institutions continues to grow and thrive,” added PVBLIC Foundation Executive Chairman Sergio Fernandez de Cordova.
